C# Console Task Manager

Design (on paper/in guided steps, since this platform can't execute C#) a console-based task manager in C#, applying classes, List<T>, LINQ, and async/await.

Objectives

Design a TaskItem class (title, due date, completed status) with auto-properties
Store tasks in a List<TaskItem> and use LINQ (Where/OrderBy) to filter and sort them
Write an async method simulating loading tasks from a file or API, awaited from Main
Handle a 'task not found' case with proper exception handling (try/catch)

Before you start

Milestones

1. Design the TaskItem class

Define a TaskItem class with auto-properties for title, due date, and completed status.

TaskItem uses auto-properties (get; set;), not public fields
A constructor sets Title and DueDate; Completed defaults to false

2. Store and query with LINQ

Use a List<TaskItem> plus LINQ to filter incomplete tasks and sort by due date.

A LINQ query using Where filters to only incomplete tasks
A LINQ query using OrderBy sorts tasks by due date

3. Add an async loading method

Write an async Task<List<TaskItem>> method simulating a file/API load, awaited from Main.

The method is declared async and returns Task<List<TaskItem>>
Main (or an async entry point) awaits it rather than blocking synchronously

4. Handle errors with try/catch

Add a CompleteTask(id) method that throws for an unknown id, handled by the caller.

CompleteTask throws a specific exception type (not a bare Exception) for an unknown id
The calling code catches that specific exception and prints a clear message
